HiPP brought it in for 2026 as the replacement for its discontinued \u003cstrong\u003eHiPP BIO\u003c\/strong\u003e milk line — PRE, 1, 2, 3 and Kindermilch — and it is more than a change of name. HiPP's own description of the recipe, translated from the German pack, is \u003cem\u003eour new infant formula with high-quality milk fat from organic whole milk\u003c\/em\u003e. Where most \u003cstrong\u003eEuropean baby formula\u003c\/strong\u003e starts from skimmed milk and adds vegetable fats back in, PUR keeps the fat that arrives with organic whole milk and tops it up with sunflower and rapeseed oil, \u003cstrong\u003ewithout palm oil\u003c\/strong\u003e. HiPP says the recipe is concentrated on selected, high-quality ingredients, with a fatty-acid profile modelled on breast milk.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePRE is HiPP's starter tier. The German pack is marked \u003cem\u003e0+ Monate\u003c\/em\u003e — from birth — and HiPP states no upper age limit for it, though our house convention is to treat PRE as the \u003cstrong\u003e0–6 month\u003c\/strong\u003e box and move to a follow-on milk when solids begin. Its carbohydrate is \u003cstrong\u003elactose only\u003c\/strong\u003e, with no starch, and HiPP's own wording is that it can therefore be given on demand, the way breast milk is.
