Holle Blueberry Bear Organic Fruit Puree Pouch with Yogurt, 85 g, from 8 months
Blueberry Bear is a Holle organic fruit and yogurt pouch for babies from 8 months. It holds 85 g of smooth puree made from pasteurised yogurt 40 percent with blueberry puree 21 percent, apple puree 19 percent and banana puree 19 percent, plus starch and a little lemon juice concentrate. Every ingredient is from organic agriculture and the pouch carries the EU Organic seal. There is no added sugar, no salt and no artificial additive. It contains milk, so it is not dairy-free and not vegan.
The yogurt is the whole point of this line. Holle describes its organic yogurt pouches as made to suit the nutritional needs of babies from 8 months, with a protein content judged for that age and made from organic milk. Yogurt at 40 percent makes the pouch creamier and more substantial than a fruit-only puree, and it is the reason the age on the pack is 8 months rather than 6.
Blueberry leads the fruit side at 21 percent, with apple and banana at 19 percent each behind it. That combination gives the pouch its deep colour and a flavour that is more tart than the plain banana or apple pouches, softened by the yogurt. Starch is in the list as well, in a small enough quantity that Holle does not give it a percentage; its job is to hold the texture together so the yogurt and the fruit do not separate.
Being a dairy product changes two practical things. The first is the allergen: milk is declared for this pouch, so it is not one to reach for if dairy is being avoided. The second is how long an opened pouch keeps. A fruit pouch lasts two days in the fridge; this one lasts 24 hours, which is the standard difference between a fruit puree and a dairy one.
One more thing worth being straight about: unlike most of the Holle fruit pouches, the yogurt pouches are organic but not Demeter. The fruit pouches in the range carry both seals; this one carries EU Organic and the German organic seal, certified by inspection body DE-ÖKO-001. As a European baby food pouch it is a snack or a simple pudding rather than a meal.

Where it fits
Where a yogurt pouch sits in the weaning day
Holle positions the yogurt pouches as a snack between meals or on the go, and in practice they do the job of a small pudding. The yogurt makes this one more filling than a fruit pouch of the same size, so it works at the end of a meal that has gone badly, or as the afternoon snack on a day when nothing else has stayed down.
The 8-month age is set by the dairy and the protein rather than by the fruit. Blueberry, apple and banana are all fruits a baby will have met earlier; it is the yogurt that waits until 8 months. If your baby has not had cow's milk yogurt before, this pouch is not the place to meet it, because a new dairy food arriving with a tart berry means you cannot tell which one caused a reaction if there is one. Plain yogurt first, then this.
It is a snack, not a dairy serving to build a day around, and it is not a substitute for breast milk or formula. At eight months milk is still the main business of the day and the pouches sit around it. Treat an 85 g pouch as a pudding-sized portion and let the rest of the diet decide how often it appears.
If you are avoiding dairy
Choose a fruit-only pouch instead. Holle Apple Ant is apple, banana and pear, and Holle Dino Dance is apple with blueberries and plum. Both are lactose-free, vegan and from 6 months. Each pouch has its own panel, so read the one you are buying.
Serving it
How to serve Blueberry Bear
Read this before the first pouch
Feed the puree with a spoon and do not let your baby suck continuously from the pouch, which is linked to tooth decay. Keep the screw cap out of reach of children, because a small cap is a choking hazard. Serve food fresh and do not heat the puree in a microwave. Because this pouch contains yogurt, an opened one keeps for 24 hours in the fridge rather than two days.

Serve coolA dairy pouch is better cold
No microwaveHolle's own instruction
1
Keep it cool until you need it
Store the unopened pouch in a cool, dark, dry place. On a warm day a dairy pouch is better out of a hot bag than in one.
2
Check the pouch before opening
It should be sealed and flat rather than swollen, with no leaks, and the screw cap should still be firmly in place. A swollen dairy pouch does not get opened.
3
Unscrew the cap and put it away
Take the cap off and move it out of reach straight away. A loose screw cap is exactly the kind of small object a baby finds first.
4
Squeeze a little onto a spoon
Squeeze some onto a spoon or into a small bowl. Blueberry and yogurt together stain well, so a bib earns its place here.
5
Serve it cool, not warm
Most babies take a yogurt pouch straight from the fridge. Do not use a microwave. There is no reason to heat a dairy puree and good reason not to.
6
Reseal and use within 24 hours
Screw the cap back on and put it in the fridge. Use what is left within 24 hours, and feed from a spoon rather than returning a used spoon to the pouch.
Contains milk, and keeps only 24 hours once opened. Yogurt is the declared allergen on this pouch. Feed with a spoon, because continuous sucking from the pouch is linked to tooth decay, and keep the screw cap out of reach as a choking hazard. Do not heat the puree in a microwave.

How a yogurt pouch differs from a fruit pouch
The two lines look alike on a shelf and are not interchangeable. Four things change when the yogurt goes in.

The Demeter difference is real and worth knowing: most of the Holle fruit pouches carry both the EU Organic and the Demeter seals, while the yogurt line is organic. This pouch's own declaration marks every ingredient as coming from organic agriculture, not biodynamic.

What is in it
Contains milk
Yogurt is the declared allergen on this pouch. It is made from pasteurised organic cow's milk and makes up 40 percent of the contents. This pouch is not dairy-free, not lactose-free and not vegan, and no such claim should be read into it.

Allergens: milk, as yogurt. No cereal, nut, soya, egg or celery ingredient appears in the list. Read the panel printed on the pouch you receive, because recipes are revised from time to time and the pouch in your hand governs.
Reproduced from the ingredient declaration carried by this pouch. One European retailer publishes a different split for this product — banana 24 percent, blueberry 17 percent and apple 17 percent, with the starch named as rice starch — and gives the net weight as 100 g. The percentages and the 85 g net weight above are the ones carried by the pouch sold here, and the pouch in your hand governs. No per-100-gram nutrition panel is reproduced, because the published figures disagree between sources and we will not print a number we cannot stand behind.
Read plainly, that is organic yogurt, three fruits, a little starch and a drop of lemon juice concentrate. Nothing is added to colour, flavour, sweeten or preserve it.

What one 85 g pouch gives you
This listing is one 85 g pouch with a resealable screw cap. A yogurt pouch is smaller than a fruit pouch in this range, which is the usual pattern for the dairy line.

We do not give a figure for how many pouches a baby gets through in a month. Holle publishes no feeding quantity for the pouches and no recommended number per day or per week, and the answer depends on how much milk and how much family food a particular baby is taking. Treat it as a pudding-sized snack and let the rest of the diet set the number.
The 85 g net weight is the figure shown for this product. One European retailer gives 100 g for this pouch; the figure on this page is the one that applies to the pouch sold here. No number of pouches per day, per week or per month is stated, because no such guidance is published for this product.

Questions parents ask
Frequently asked questions
From what age can my baby have Blueberry Bear?
From 8 months, which is the age on this product. The yogurt is what sets that age, not the fruit, and Holle describes the line as made for the nutritional needs of babies from 8 months.
Does it contain dairy?
Yes. Pasteurised organic yogurt is 40 percent of the pouch and milk is the declared allergen. It is not dairy-free, not lactose-free and not vegan.
What is in it?
Yogurt 40 percent, blueberry puree 21 percent, apple puree 19 percent, banana puree 19 percent, starch and lemon juice concentrate. Every ingredient is from organic agriculture.
Is there any added sugar?
No sugar is added, and no salt or artificial additive either. It tastes sweet because the fruit contains sugar naturally and because yogurt softens the tartness of blueberry.
Is it Demeter certified?
No. The yogurt pouches are organic, carrying the EU Organic and German organic seals with inspection body DE-ÖKO-001. Most of the Holle fruit pouches carry Demeter as well; the yogurt line does not.
How long does an opened pouch keep?
Twenty-four hours in the fridge with the cap screwed back on. That is shorter than a fruit pouch, which keeps two days, and it is because this one contains yogurt.
Can I warm it up?
Do not use a microwave, and there is no need to warm it at all. A yogurt pouch is meant to be eaten cool, and most babies prefer it that way.
Why is there starch in it?
It holds the texture together so that the yogurt and the fruit do not separate in the pouch. It is listed without a percentage, which means it is a small part of the recipe.
Can my baby eat straight from the pouch?
Holle's instruction is to feed the puree with a spoon and to avoid continuous sucking from the pouch, which is linked to tooth decay. Squeeze a little onto a spoon or into a bowl.
Written from the ingredient declaration, allergen statement and storage instruction carried by this pouch, with the certification and inspection body corroborated against the information published for it in Europe. The age and the 85 g pack size shown on this page are taken from the product itself; a European retailer's conflicting 100 g figure and alternative percentage split are noted in the body rather than adopted. No per-100-gram nutrition panel is reproduced, because the published figures disagree between sources. No feeding quantity, daily portion or monthly consumption figure is stated, because Holle publishes none for the pouches. Last reviewed 15 October 2026.
