Panda Peach - Holle Organic Fruit Puree Pouch, Peach, Apricot and Banana with Spelt, from the 8th month
Panda Peach is a Holle organic fruit puree pouch for babies from the 8th month. It is peach, banana and apricot with a little wholegrain spelt, in a resealable 100 g pouch. The ingredients are Demeter grade, the biodynamic tier above EU Organic, and it is made with no added sugar. Because of the spelt, this pouch contains gluten.
This is the stone-fruit pouch. Peach at 40 percent leads it, banana at 33 percent gives it the weight and the sweetness, and apricot at 25 percent brings the slightly tart, jammy note that keeps it from being bland. Those three are 98 percent of the pouch between them. The last 2 percent is wholegrain spelt, which is what thickens it.
The spelt is the thing to know before you buy. Spelt is a species of wheat and it carries gluten, so Holle makes no gluten-free claim for Panda Peach and neither do we. Two percent is a small share, but a gluten cereal in a small amount is still a gluten cereal, and a baby who has not yet met one should meet it on its own rather than inside a fruit pouch.
Past that the recipe is short and clean. Holle states the pouch contains no additives at all, and there is no added water, starch or juice concentrate in the declaration. The no-added-sugar claim is Holle's own, footnoted to say that the pouch naturally contains the sugars in the fruit, which with banana and apricot in it is a fair amount of natural sweetness.
The grain and the banana together make this one of the more sustaining pouches, so it works better as a breakfast or a mid-afternoon snack than as a pudding. The main ingredients are grown in Italy, which Holle prints on the pack. The pouch is resealable, the packaging is BPA-free and the cap is recyclable, so as an organic baby snack it travels without a cool pack.

Where it fits
Where this pouch sits in the weaning day
Holle suggests this one as an energy-boosting snack or as a simple pudding, and the recipe supports the first of those more than the second. Banana and a wholegrain make a thicker, denser puree than fruit alone, so it holds a baby longer than a pouch of apple would.
Where it fits in the order of introductions comes down to the spelt and to the stone fruit. By the 8th month most babies have moved past single purees onto combinations, which is where this pouch belongs. It is a reasonable step once a gluten grain has already been met on its own, and the wrong step before that, because three fruits and a new cereal arriving at once tells you nothing if something disagrees.
It also goes on being useful well past weaning. Peach and apricot are flavours children keep liking, and the thickness means it spoons cleanly into a bowl without running. Stirred through plain yoghurt or porridge it does the job of a flavoured version without the added sugar one of those would carry.
Spoon it out, do not let your baby suck on the pouch
Holle's own note on this pouch is to use a spoon to feed the puree and not to let a child suck on the pouch continuously, because prolonged sucking on a sweet puree is what causes tooth decay. Keep the cap out of reach of children, because a cap this size is a choking hazard. The pouch needs no cooking, no water and no warming.
Once opened, this pouch keeps in the fridge for 2 days. Unopened it is shelf-stable, which is the point of a pouch: it travels in a changing bag without a cool pack.

1
Check the pouch first
Look it over before you open it. The cap should be sealed and the pouch should be firm rather than puffed. If it has been punctured in a bag, do not use it.
2
Shake it, then unscrew the cap
A puree with grain in it settles more than a plain one does. A short shake before you open it brings the texture back together and saves you stirring the bowl.
3
Squeeze it into a bowl
Squeeze out the portion you want rather than feeding from the spout. That is how Holle writes it, and it also lets you see how much your baby has actually taken.
4
Put the cap somewhere safe
The screw cap is small enough to be a choking hazard, and Holle states it should be kept out of reach of children. It goes on the counter, not on the tray.
5
Spoon-feed at your baby's pace
Offer it from the spoon and let your baby set the speed. A pouch fed by squeezing goes down far faster than a baby would take it from a spoon, which is the habit the tooth-decay note is about.
6
Refrigerate or discard the rest
Cap what is left, put it in the fridge, and use it within 2 days. Do not keep a pouch your baby has fed directly from.

Ingredients and allergens
What is in it
Contains gluten, from wholegrain spelt
Spelt is a species of wheat and it contains gluten. Holle makes no gluten-free claim for Panda Peach and none should be read into it. The spelt appears in capital letters in the printed declaration, which is how Holle flags an allergen on these pouches.
No milk, egg, nut, soya or fish appears in the declaration, and Holle lists the pouch as lactose-free and vegan. Holle's standing allergy note applies: for the EU 14 major food allergens, including cereals containing gluten, see ingredients in capital letters, if any.

Questions parents ask
Frequently asked questions
Is Panda Peach gluten-free?
No. It contains wholegrain spelt, which is a wheat species and carries gluten. Holle makes no gluten-free claim for this pouch and neither do we.
From what age can my baby have it?
From the 8th month, which is the age on this product and the age Holle publishes for it. It brings a gluten cereal with it, so it suits a baby who has already met a gluten grain on its own.
How much is in the pouch?
Each pouch holds 100 g, and the weight printed on the back of the pouch governs.
Why is there grain in a fruit pouch?
The spelt is the thickener. At 2 percent it gives the puree enough body to sit on a spoon and makes the pouch more sustaining than fruit alone, which is why Holle calls it an energy-boosting snack.
Does it contain added sugar?
No sugar is added. Holle states no added sugar and footnotes that the pouch contains naturally occurring sugars. With banana and apricot in it, that natural sweetness is noticeable.
Is the spelt Demeter as well as the fruit?
Yes. Holle marks all four ingredients, the spelt included, as from biodynamic agriculture, which is the Demeter standard.
Can my baby feed straight from the pouch?
Holle's instruction is to use a spoon and not to let a child suck on the pouch continuously, because prolonged sucking on a sweet puree is what causes tooth decay. Squeeze it into a bowl and spoon it.
Is it vegan?
Yes. Holle lists this pouch as vegan and declares it lactose-free. There is no milk, egg or honey in it, though it does contain a cereal.
Written from the ingredient, allergen and storage declarations printed on this pouch, checked against Holle's own published product page for Panda Peach - Peach, apricot and banana with spelt, which gives the same four percentages, the same 8-month age, and confirms that no gluten-free claim is made for it. The age is taken from the product itself. The gluten statement is new on this page: the spelt in the declaration carries gluten and the previous version of this listing did not say so. The net weight is 100 g per pouch. Last reviewed 18 October 2026.
