HiPP Organic Crunchy Muesli, 200 g, from the 15th month
HiPP Organic Crunchy Muesli is an organic children's muesli for children from the 15th month, in a 200 g pack. It is built on a 74 percent organic grain mixture of wholemeal flakes and flours with banana flakes, a freeze-dried fruit preparation and added vitamin B1. There is no added sugar and no added flavor. A bowl is 35 g of muesli with 100 ml of milk, and HiPP recommends the morning for it.
The crunch is the selling point and the reason the shapes exist. HiPP makes this one with crunchy ducks and flowers mixed through the flakes, which gives a bowl two textures rather than one: soft flakes that take up the milk and firmer shapes that hold their bite. At 15 months that contrast is interesting rather than difficult, and it is part of why a child will keep going with a bowl.
The grain base is unusually broad. The 74 percent wholemeal cereal flakes and flours are made up of wheat, oats, barley, spelt, rye and millet, and there are three further flours alongside them: wheat flour, rice flour and corn flour. That is nine cereal components in one pack, five of them gluten-bearing. It is a pack for a child who has already met grains rather than one who is meeting them.
The fruit side is banana flakes with a freeze-dried fruit preparation of strawberries, raspberries and carrot juice concentrate, which is where HiPP's description of banana and strawberry as main ingredients comes from. There is also cocoa powder in the declaration, in a small quantity and late in the list, which is worth knowing if you are holding cocoa back.
On sugar HiPP is specific: no sugar is added, and the ingredients contain sugar by nature. The sweetness in a bowl comes from the banana flakes and the fruit preparation rather than from anything put in. HiPP also states the muesli is rich in vitamin B1, which is important for the nervous system and which is legally required in children's mueslis.
As a European children's muesli this is a breakfast pack first, though HiPP presents its mueslis as working for a mid-morning or afternoon snack too. It is made to the EU organic standard from ingredients HiPP describes as valuable and strictly tested.

Where it fits
Where this one sits in a child's day
HiPP names the morning as the recommended time of day for this pack, and the composition agrees. A 74 percent grain bowl with fruit in it is a breakfast rather than an evening meal, and the crunch works better at the start of the day than at the end of it.
HiPP also describes its mueslis as suitable not only for breakfast but as a snack in the morning or the afternoon, which is a reasonable second use. A muesli is dry, it keeps, and 35 g in a bowl is a small enough portion to sit between meals without displacing one.
What this pack is not is an introduction to grains. Nine cereal components arrive together, five of them carrying gluten, and spelt is itself a type of wheat. By 15 months most children have met the common cereals singly, which is what makes a pack like this straightforward. If yours has not, the order matters more than the convenience does.
What to make it up with
HiPP recommends preparing its organic mueslis with its own children's milk products, and names HiPP children's milk for this one specifically. Any milk your family already uses in your child's food will make a bowl; the recommendation is HiPP's and we pass it on as a recommendation rather than a requirement.
Preparation
How to prepare HiPP Crunchy Muesli
35 g of muesli, 100 ml of milk
That is HiPP's own measure for a bowl: about 6 tablespoons, which is 35 g, with 100 ml of milk, stirred with a spoon. Prepare each meal fresh. Do not heat the muesli in a microwave, which HiPP warns carries a danger of scalding.

Fresh each timeDo not make it ahead
1
Measure 35 g into a bowl
About 6 tablespoons of muesli. Measuring into the bowl before the milk goes in keeps the portion to HiPP's own figure.
2
Add 100 ml of milk
HiPP's quantity for one bowl. HiPP recommends its own children's milk products for its mueslis, and names HiPP children's milk for this pack.
3
Stir it with a spoon
That is the whole of the preparation. There is nothing to boil, nothing to cool and nothing to wait for.
4
Serve it straight away, or wait
Served immediately the crunchy shapes keep their bite. Left a few minutes they soften as they take up the milk, which suits a child who is still working out chewing.
5
Keep each meal fresh
HiPP asks that every meal be prepared fresh. Do not make a bowl up in advance and do not keep a part-eaten one back for later.
6
Close the pack and store it dry
Close the pack after each use and keep it in a dry place at room temperature so the crunchy shapes stay crunchy.
Do not use a microwave. HiPP warns that heating the muesli in a microwave carries a danger of scalding. Prepare each meal fresh, and store the pack closed in a dry place at room temperature. HiPP asks across its children's range that you ensure a balanced diet and regular dental care. If your child is not yet chewing confidently, let the bowl stand so the crunchy shapes soften before you serve it.
Who it is for
Is this the right muesli for your child?
With a nine-grain pack the question is less about age than about which grains your child has already met. This is how we would read it.

Vitamin B1, thiamine, is important for the nervous system and is legally required in children's mueslis. That is the ground for HiPP's rich in vitamin B1 statement and nothing beyond it is claimed here.

How far a 200 g pack goes
Both numbers are HiPP's own here, so the division is straightforward. The pack is 200 g and a bowl takes 35 g, which comes to about five bowls per pack, each made up with 100 ml of milk.

A dry muesli has no fluid yield of its own, so bowls is the measure that means anything. The arithmetic gives 5.7 bowls exactly, which is five full bowls and most of a sixth, so treat about five as the planning figure and expect a little over.
The 200 g pack size and the 35 g and 100 ml figures are HiPP's own for this product. The bowl count and the milk total are those figures divided and multiplied, not separate measurements. A tablespoon varies, so treat about 6 tablespoons as a guide to the 35 g rather than a substitute for it. We have not been able to source a verified nutrition table per 100 g for this pack, so none is printed on this page.

Questions parents ask
Frequently asked questions
How do I prepare it?
Put about 6 tablespoons, 35 g, of muesli into a bowl, add 100 ml of milk and stir it with a spoon. That is the whole preparation. Make each bowl fresh and never use a microwave.
From what age can my child have it?
From the 15th month, which is the age carried by this product. HiPP describes its mueslis as suitable for children from the 15th month.
What milk should I use?

Does it contain added sugar?
No. HiPP states there is no added sugar and that the ingredients contain sugar by nature. The sweetness comes from the banana flakes and the strawberry and raspberry preparation.

No. The pack declares wheat, oats, barley, spelt and rye, and spelt is itself a type of wheat. It also flags possible traces of milk, soy and mustard. We make no gluten-free claim for it.
Does it contain chocolate?

What are the crunchy shapes?
Ducks and flowers, mixed through the flakes. They are what gives the bowl two textures, and they soften if you let the bowl stand for a few minutes.
What is the vitamin B1 for?

Written from the age, pack size, ingredient declaration, allergy note, preparation instructions and product statements carried by this product, reproduced above as they stand: the 15th month age, the 200 g pack, the 74 percent wholemeal cereal flake and flour base with its six named cereals, the banana flakes, the freeze-dried strawberry and raspberry preparation, the cocoa powder, the 35 g and 100 ml bowl, the recommended morning timing, the recommendation of HiPP children's milk, the crunchy duck and flower shapes, the no-added-sugar statement and the microwave warning. The vitamin B1 statement is limited to the nervous-system wording and the legal requirement for children's mueslis. The bowls-per-pack and total-milk figures are the stated 200 g, 35 g and 100 ml divided and multiplied, not separate measurements. No nutrition table per 100 g could be sourced for this pack, so none is printed and the page says so rather than estimating one. Last reviewed 24 October 2026.
