Kendamil Comfort is the tin for babies with colic and constipation — a British-made formula with partially hydrolysed protein and reduced lactose, suitable from birth to 12 months.
Hydrolysing the protein means breaking it into smaller pieces that are quicker to digest, and lowering the lactose reduces the fermentation that causes wind. It keeps the things Kendamil is known for: whole milk rather than skimmed with fats added back, no palm oil, and DHA from algae rather than fish oil.
Comfort is a complete infant formula, not a medical food, and it can be used on its own for as long as it is needed. That said, persistent colic and constipation are worth raising with your pediatrician before switching tins — both have causes a formula change will not address.
