Organic baby porridge and cereal is where most babies meet their first grain. European baby cereals are milled fine, made from whole grains, and sold either as a plain cereal you mix with milk or as a milk porridge with the dairy already included.

This collection holds every baby cereal, porridge and muesli we stock, led by HiPP and Holle.

Which one, and when

  • From around 4 to 6 months — single-grain cereals such as rice or oat, mixed thin with your usual milk. One new grain at a time makes a reaction easy to spot.
  • From around 6 to 8 months — multi-grain porridges and fruit blends, mixed thicker as your baby gets used to a spoon.
  • From 8 months onward — muesli-style cereals with softer texture and pieces to chew.
  • Milk porridge or plain cereal? Milk porridge only needs water and is quicker. Plain cereal lets you mix it with your own formula or breast milk, which keeps the taste familiar.

Questions parents ask

Can I add cereal to a bottle? No. Cereal belongs on a spoon. Thickening a bottle changes its nutrition and carries a choking risk.

Why European cereals? EU organic rules cover the whole chain from field to pack, and the baby-food category carries tighter limits again on pesticide residue than standard organic food.

Does it replace a milk feed? Not at first. Early cereal is a taste and texture lesson alongside milk, not instead of it.
