HiPP Organic Berry Muesli is an organic children's muesli for children from 12 months, in a 200 g pack. It is built on 35 percent whole oat flakes and 35 percent whole wheat flakes, with banana flakes, 2.6 percent berry fruit flakes of strawberry and raspberry puree, a six-cereal wholemeal flour at 13 percent and added vitamin B1. A bowl is 35 g of muesli with 100 ml of milk, and the prepared portion is 135 g.
What distinguishes this one in the muesli range is how much of it is whole flakes. Oat flakes and wheat flakes are 35 percent each, so 70 percent of the pack is whole cereal flakes rather than flour. Flakes behave differently from flour in a bowl: they stay distinct, they take up milk slowly, and they give a child something to chew rather than a smooth paste. At 12 months that is the point.
The fruit is banana flakes with berry fruit flakes at 2.6 percent, and the berry flakes are themselves made of strawberry puree, raspberry puree, carrot juice concentrate and rice flour. HiPP adds a footnote worth reading: the banana and berry flakes are obtained from approximately 52 g of fresh organic fruit per prepared 135 g portion. That is the figure that tells you how much fruit is actually behind a bowl.
Behind the flakes there is a 13 percent wholemeal flour made up of wheat, barley, oats, spelt, rye and millet, plus corn flour. Counting the flakes, that is eight cereal components in the pack and five of them carry gluten. Spelt is itself a type of wheat. It is a pack for a child who has already met the common grains.
HiPP states these mueslis are age-appropriate to the nutritional needs of small children and contain only what it describes as valuable, strictly tested organic ingredients. The only added nutrient is vitamin B1, thiamine, which is legally required in children's mueslis.
As a European children's muesli this is a breakfast pack first. HiPP presents its mueslis as suiting breakfast and also a morning or afternoon snack, which is a fair description of how a dry muesli gets used.

Where it fits
Where this one sits in a child's day
HiPP puts the case for breakfast directly: the first meal of the day matters for the proper nutrition of small children, and a child needs energy for a good start. A 70 percent flake bowl with fruit in it is built for the morning rather than the evening.
It doubles as a snack, and HiPP says so. A dry muesli keeps, needs no preparation beyond milk, and 35 g in a bowl is small enough to sit between meals without spoiling the next one. That gives one pack two slots in the day.
It is not a pack for introducing grains. Eight cereal components arrive together, five of them gluten-bearing, and spelt is a wheat. By 12 months most children have met wheat, oats and barley singly, which is what makes a mixed muesli straightforward rather than a risk. If yours has not, the order of introduction matters more than the convenience.
What HiPP recommends you make it up with, and why that matters
HiPP recommends preparing its organic children's mueslis with its own children's milk products. The reason HiPP gives is about the milk rather than the muesli: HiPP states that its children's milk products carry iron, iodine, zinc and important vitamins in the quantities a small child needs at this stage, and that their protein content is significantly reduced compared with cow's milk. Those are properties of the milk you add, not of this pack, and we separate them deliberately. Any milk your family already uses in your child's food will make a bowl.
Preparation
How to prepare HiPP Berry Muesli
35 g of muesli, 100 ml of milk, a 135 g bowl
That is HiPP's own measure: about 6 tablespoons, which is 35 g, with 100 ml of milk, stirred with a spoon, giving a prepared portion of 135 g. Prepare each meal fresh. Do not heat the muesli in a microwave, which HiPP warns carries a danger of scalding.

1
Measure 35 g into a bowl
About 6 tablespoons of muesli, measured in before the milk. That keeps the portion to HiPP's own figure and stops the flakes floating out.
2
Add 100 ml of milk
HiPP's quantity for one bowl, and it recommends its own children's milk products for its mueslis. Together the two make a 135 g prepared portion.
3
Stir it with a spoon
That is the whole preparation. Nothing is boiled and nothing has to cool, which is why a muesli suits a morning that is already busy.
4
Serve it now, or let it soften
Served straight away the flakes keep their bite. Left a few minutes they take up the milk and soften, which suits a child who is still working out chewing.
5
Make each bowl fresh
HiPP asks that every meal be prepared fresh. Do not make a bowl up in advance and do not keep a part-eaten one back for later.
6
Close the pack and store it dry
Close the pack after each use and keep it in a dry place at room temperature so the flakes stay dry and distinct.
Do not use a microwave. HiPP warns that heating the muesli in a microwave carries a danger of scalding. Prepare each meal fresh, and store the pack closed in a dry place at room temperature. HiPP asks across its children's range that you ensure a balanced diet and regular dental care. If your child is not yet chewing confidently, let the bowl stand so the flakes soften before you serve it.
How much fruit and grain is in a bowl
What a 135 g portion actually contains
HiPP gives enough figures on this pack to work out what a single bowl is made of, which is unusual and useful. This is that arithmetic, using HiPP's own numbers and nothing else.

The fruit figure is the one most parents would not guess. About 52 g of fresh organic fruit stands behind a single 135 g bowl, because the banana and berry components are dried flakes rather than fresh fruit, and drying concentrates them heavily.
The 35 g, 100 ml, 135 g and 52 g figures are HiPP's own for this pack. The gram weights for the flakes and the flour are the declared percentages applied to the 35 g portion, which is arithmetic rather than a separate measurement. We have not been able to source a verified nutrition table per 100 g for this pack, so none is printed.

What is in it
Contains five gluten-bearing cereals
The pack declares wheat, oats, barley, spelt and rye, and gluten-containing cereals and cereal products. It also flags that it may contain traces of mustard. Spelt is itself a type of wheat. No gluten-free claim is made for this product and none should be read into it.
The allergy note as it stands on this product: contains spelt and spelt products, contains barley and barley products, contains gluten-containing cereals and gluten-containing cereal products, contains oats and oat products, contains wheat and wheat derivatives, contains rye and rye products. May contain traces of mustard.
* from organic production. ¹ obtained from approximately 52 g of fresh organic fruit per prepared muesli portion of 135 g. Reproduced from the ingredient declaration carried by this product. Always check the panel printed on the pack you have, because artwork is revised from time to time and the pack in your hand governs.
Vitamin B1, thiamine, is legally required in children's mueslis. Nothing beyond that requirement is claimed for it here.
Read plainly, that is 70 percent whole flakes, a 13 percent six-cereal wholemeal flour, corn flour, banana, a strawberry and raspberry berry flake and one added vitamin. No sugar, no flavoring and no preservative is added.

Portions
How far a 200 g pack goes
Both figures are HiPP's own, so this divides cleanly. The pack is 200 g and a bowl takes 35 g, which comes to about five bowls, each made up with 100 ml of milk.

A dry muesli has no fluid yield of its own, so bowls is the measure that matters. The division gives 5.7 bowls exactly, which is five full bowls and most of a sixth, so plan on about five and expect a little over.
The 200 g pack size and the 35 g, 100 ml and 135 g figures are HiPP's own for this product. The bowl count, the milk total and the prepared-food total are those figures divided and multiplied, not separate measurements. A tablespoon varies, so treat about 6 tablespoons as a guide to the 35 g rather than a substitute for it.

Questions parents ask
Frequently asked questions
How do I prepare it?
Put about 6 tablespoons, 35 g, of muesli into a bowl, add 100 ml of milk and stir it with a spoon. That gives a 135 g prepared portion. Make each bowl fresh and never use a microwave.
From what age can my child have it?
From 12 months, which is the age carried by this product.
What milk should I use?
HiPP recommends its own children's milk products. The reason it gives is about the milk rather than this pack: HiPP states its children's milk carries iron, iodine, zinc and important vitamins in the quantities a small child needs, with a significantly reduced protein content. Any milk your family already uses in your child's food will make a bowl.
How much fruit is really in it?
HiPP's footnote is the figure to use: the banana and berry flakes are obtained from approximately 52 g of fresh organic fruit per prepared 135 g portion. The berry flakes themselves are 2.6 percent of the dry pack, but they are dried, so they stand for far more fresh fruit than that percentage suggests.
Is it gluten-free?
No. The pack declares wheat, oats, barley, spelt and rye, and spelt is itself a type of wheat. It also flags possible traces of mustard. We make no gluten-free claim for it.
Does it contain added sugar?
No sugar is added. The sweetness comes from the banana flakes and the strawberry and raspberry berry flakes.
What makes this different from the crunchy muesli?
Composition. This one is 70 percent whole oat and wheat flakes with a berry fruit flake, and HiPP places it from 12 months. The crunchy one is a 74 percent grain mixture with crunchy shapes and cocoa, from the 15th month.
How many bowls does a pack make?
About five. The pack is 200 g and a bowl takes 35 g, so 200 divided by 35 is 5.7 bowls, each with 100 ml of milk.
What is the vitamin B1 for?
Thiamine is legally required in children's mueslis. Nothing beyond that requirement is claimed for it here.
Written from the age, pack size, ingredient declaration, allergy note and preparation instructions carried by this product, reproduced above as they stand: the 12 month age, the 200 g pack, whole oat flakes at 35 percent and whole wheat flakes at 35 percent, banana flakes, the 13 percent wholemeal flour with its six named cereals, berry fruit flakes at 2.6 percent of strawberry puree, raspberry puree, carrot juice concentrate and rice flour, corn flour, vitamin B1, the footnote that the fruit flakes are obtained from approximately 52 g of fresh organic fruit per prepared 135 g portion, the 35 g and 100 ml bowl, the microwave warning and the prepare-fresh instruction. HiPP's statements about iron, iodine, zinc, vitamins and reduced protein describe its children's milk products rather than this muesli, and are attributed to the milk on the page rather than to the pack. The vitamin B1 statement is limited to the legal requirement for children's mueslis. The per-bowl gram weights, the bowl count, the milk total and the prepared-food total are HiPP's stated figures and percentages applied arithmetically, not separate measurements. No nutrition table per 100 g could be sourced for this pack, so none is printed and the page says so. Last reviewed 24 October 2026.
