What is Holle Goat Stage 3 Dutch formula?
Holle Goat Stage 3 Dutch is a European organic goat milk follow-on formula for babies and toddlers from 10 months, built on Demeter-certified organic whole goat's milk powder at 38.5% of the can. This listing is a single 800 g can — about 202.8 fl oz of prepared formula, roughly 40 five-ounce bottles.
Stage 3 is the last step before the toddler years. By 10 months most babies are eating three meals a day and milk has become one part of the diet rather than the whole of it, so this can is formulated as the milk component of a largely solid-food diet — not as a sole source of nutrition. It works in a bottle or a beaker, and it can also be stirred into cereal or porridge.
Both the whole goat's milk and the goat milk powder are Demeter certified — biodynamic farming, which Holle describes as the world's highest organic standard — on top of EU Organic certification. Two things are worth noticing in that list. The first is that the milk is whole goat's milk powder, not skimmed milk with vegetable fat added back — Holle describes the resulting fatty-acid profile as similar to breast milk. The second is organic maltodextrin and organic starch, which are not in the Stage 1 can. They arrive from Stage 2 onward because a follow-on formula is built to sit alongside solid food rather than replace it, and their presence at this age is standard across the category rather than a shortcut.

Is goat milk formula easier to digest than cow's milk formula?
Goat milk is predominantly A2 beta-casein, while conventional cow's milk carries a mix of A1 and A2. A2 protein forms a softer, smaller curd in the stomach, and that curd structure is the named mechanism behind the gentler-digestion claim — not a vague promise of comfort.
The difference sits at a single position in the protein chain. Where A1 beta-casein carries histidine at position 67, A2 carries proline. That one residue changes how the chain is broken apart during digestion, and with it how firmly the curd sets in the stomach.
Goat milk also carries its own oligosaccharides, which come with the milk rather than being added, and which act as food for the bacteria already living in your child's gut. Combined with a whole-milk fat base, that is the case for staying on goat milk through the 10-to-12-month window rather than switching.
What this does not mean is worth stating plainly. Goat milk formula is not a treatment for cow's milk protein allergy: goat and cow milk proteins cross-react in most allergic infants, so a diagnosed allergy needs a hydrolysed or amino-acid formula prescribed by your doctor. Goat formula is a reasonable gentler option for an unsettled baby with no diagnosis — nothing more than that.

Being straight with you: Jovie Goat 3 beats this can on two real points — it keeps lactose as the only carbohydrate with no maltodextrin or starch, and it carries halal and kosher certification. Its trade-offs are fish-oil DHA, which means it is not vegetarian, and no Demeter tier. Holle Goat 3 German is the same recipe and the same Demeter certification in a 400 g box — there is no nutritional reason to prefer one over the other, so buy on price and how often you want to reorder. Sterilise everything
Wash your hands, then sterilise the bottle or cup, teat, ring and cap following the manufacturer's instructions.

Boil, then cool to 40–50 °C
Boil fresh drinking water and let it cool to about 40–50 °C (104–122 °F) before you use it.

Store cans in a cool, dry place with the lid firmly closed. Never reheat or microwave prepared formula. The recommended drinking amounts and number of bottles a day printed on the can are general guidelines — your child does not have to finish a bottle, and individual variation is normal.
