How do you prepare HiPP UK Anti-Reflux?
Boil fresh water and let it cool to 40–50°C, pour the measured water into a sterilised bottle first, add the exact number of level scoops from the feeding chart on the tin, roll the bottle between your palms for about 5 seconds and shake for about 20 seconds, then let it stand 5 to 7 minutes so the locust bean gum thickens, shake again, cool to about 37°C and test before feeding. Prepare it by hand.

Sterilise everything
Wash and sterilise the bottle, teat, ring and cap, and wash your hands before you start.

Boil and cool the water
Boil fresh tap water, then let it cool to 40–50°C — this formula is mixed cooler than a standard infant formula.

Prepare this formula by hand. Locust bean gum thickens while the bottle stands, and that is exactly the step bottle warmers and automatic formula machines are not built around — which is why manufacturers of thickened anti-reflux formulas caution against using them. This formula uses intact cow's milk protein and is not suitable for a baby with a diagnosed cow's milk protein allergy. It contains fish. Breastfeeding is best for your baby — talk to your health visitor or doctor before starting or changing a formula.
Store the tin in a cool, dry place with the lid closed. Once opened, use within the period printed on the pack. Never reheat or microwave prepared formula.
