What it is

Holle Pelican Peach Organic Puree Pouch, Peach, Apple, Strawberry and Oat, from 6 months

Pelican Peach is a Demeter organic fruit and grain pouch for babies from 6 months, and the declaration is four things: peach at 68 percent, apple at 17 percent, strawberry at 10 percent and gluten-free oat at 5 percent. Nothing else. The four percentages total exactly 100, and Holle describes the pouch as 100 percent organic, vegan and gluten-free.

Peach leading at 68 percent is what makes this one unusual. Most early pouches lead on apple or pear because both are cheap, mild and easy to puree; a pouch that is more than two-thirds peach tastes distinctly of peach rather than of generic sweet fruit. Apple at 17 percent does the background work and strawberry at 10 percent sharpens it.

The oat at 5 percent is the other point of difference, and Holle declares it specifically as gluten-free oat. A small amount of grain in a fruit pouch thickens it and makes it more filling than fruit alone, which is why Holle's fruit-and-grain pouches sit a little closer to a meal than its plain fruit ones.

Three of the four ingredients carry the Demeter mark: the peach, the apple and the strawberry, which is 95 percent of the pouch. The oat is certified organic. Demeter is biodynamic certification and a stricter standard than the EU organic baseline, so this is a pouch where almost all the content is certified above the organic minimum.

What is absent is as notable as what is present. There is no added sugar, no sweetener, no juice concentrate, no starch, no added vitamin, no flavoring, no coloring and no preservative in the declaration. For a European baby food pouch placed as early as six months, a four-item list with the percentages adding to exactly 100 is about as plain as the format gets.

Where it fits

Where this pouch sits in the weaning day

Six months is the start of solids, and a fruit-and-grain pouch is one of the straightforward things to offer at that stage. The oat gives it a little body, so it is closer to a small breakfast than a dessert, and the texture is smooth enough for a baby who has only just met a spoon.

It works as a first course or a whole small meal in the early weeks, and later as the sweet end of a meal once your baby is eating vegetables and cereals properly. Holle's fruit-and-grain pouches are generally the more filling option in the range.

It is also the pouch to take out of the house. It needs no refrigeration before it is opened and no preparation at all, and the resealable cap means a half-eaten pouch is not a wasted one.

If strawberry or oat would be new

Both arrive in this pouch at once, alongside peach and apple, so if either is new you will not be able to tell which one your baby reacted to. Strawberry is one of the fruits parents often introduce a little later, and oat is a grain usually met on its own first. Holle's Kiwi Koala pouch is grain-free if you want fruit alone, and its Organic Oats Baby Porridge is the single-grain way to meet oat.

Serving

How to serve a Pelican Peach pouch

Spoon-feed it, and check the pouch for the keeping time

No feeding instructions and no opened-pouch keeping time are published for this particular pouch on any source we can read, so read your own pouch. The steps below are general good practice for any baby food pouch; they are not Holle's instructions for this one, and we have deliberately not borrowed the keeping time from another Holle pouch that does publish one.

Spoon-feedNot sucked from the pouch
See pouchFor the keeping time
No heatingServe as it comes
Cap awayKeep out of reach
1

Check the pouch and shake it

Make sure the pouch and its seal are intact before you open it, and give it a shake to even out anything that has settled.

2

Unscrew the cap and keep hold of it

A screw cap is a choking hazard in its own right, so put it in a pocket or on a high surface rather than on the tray.

3

Squeeze onto a spoon or into a bowl

Feeding from a spoon rather than letting a baby suck at the nozzle is the standard advice for any fruit pouch, because prolonged contact between fruit sugar and teeth is what causes decay.

4

Serve it as it comes

No heating is needed and none is specified. The pouch is shelf-stable until it is opened.

5

Or stir it into a cereal

A fruit and oat puree with no starch and no concentrate in it mixes cleanly into a grain porridge, which is a good way to use a whole pouch for a younger baby.

6

Reseal, refrigerate and check your pouch

Screw the cap back on and refrigerate what is left. Holle publishes no keeping time for this pouch that we can find, so follow the period printed on it rather than any figure from elsewhere.

No serving size, daily portion, opened-pouch keeping time or net weight is published for this pouch on any source we can read, so none appears above. What is stated is the age and the full ingredient declaration with its percentages.

Feed it from a spoon, not by sucking at the pouch. Holle prints no feeding notes for this particular pouch on the pages we can read, but the standard advice for any fruit pouch applies: squeeze it onto a spoon or into a bowl, do not let your baby suck at the nozzle over a long period, and keep the cap out of reach. Holle does ask that you unscrew and dispose of the lid correctly before recycling the pouch. Check your own pouch for the keeping time once it is open.
The declaration

Four ingredients, and what each one does

Because the list is this short, it is worth taking line by line. Each row below is from Holle's own declaration for this pouch, with its percentage and its certification.

Ingredient Share Certification What it brings
Peach 68% Demeter The dominant flavor and most of the body
Apple 17% Demeter A mild sweet background
Strawberry 10% Demeter Sharpness, and the color
Oat, gluten-free 5% Organic Thickness, and makes the pouch more filling
Total 100% Nothing unlisted, and no additive of any kind

Fruit is 95 percent of the pouch and the grain is 5 percent. Holle labels the whole product gluten-free and declares the oat itself as gluten-free oat, which is the specific wording that lets a product containing oats carry that label. Oats do not contain the gluten proteins found in wheat, rye and barley; ordinary oats are often contaminated with wheat, and a gluten-free oat is one handled to avoid that.

If coeliac disease is involved, treat the declaration printed on your own pouch as the authority rather than this page. Holle publishes no separate allergen declaration for this pouch, only the gluten-free labeling and the gluten-free oat wording in the ingredient list.

Ingredients

What is in it

Labeled gluten-free, with gluten-free oat declared

Holle labels this pouch gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, lactose free and biodynamic, and the oat in the list is declared specifically as gluten-free oat. No separate allergen declaration and no may-contain statement are published for it on any source we can read, which is worth knowing rather than reading as an assurance. Read your own pouch before a first taste.

* from organic agriculture.
** Demeter (from biodynamic agriculture).
The four percentages total 100, so there is nothing in the pouch beyond these four ingredients.

Holle describes this pouch as 100 percent organic and labels it vegan, vegetarian, lactose free, gluten free and biodynamic. No added sugar, sweetener, juice concentrate, starch, vitamin, flavoring, coloring or preservative appears in the declaration.

Packaging: Holle asks that you unscrew and dispose of the lid correctly before putting the pouch out for recycling.

NOT PUBLISHED, and therefore not given on this page: the net weight of the pouch, the nutrition table, any serving size, and the keeping time once opened. None of these appears on Holle's own product page or at any authorized retailer we can read. Nothing has been estimated, and no figure has been carried across from another Holle pouch, several of which do publish a weight and a keeping time.

The product name lists the fruits as peach, strawberry, apple and oat. Holle's declaration orders them peach, apple, strawberry and oat, with apple at 17 percent ahead of strawberry at 10 percent. The declaration is the authority on proportions.

Three Demeter fruits and one organic grain. That is the whole recipe, and the percentages leave no room for anything unlisted. The sweetness is the peach's and the apple's own, and the thickness is the oat's.

Pack and yield

What the pouch gives you

This is the one section where we have to be straight with you about a gap: no net weight is published for this pouch on Holle's own product page or at any authorized retailer we can read. Without it there is no yield figure to give, and we have not guessed at one.

Figure Value Why
Net weight Not published Absent from every source we can read
Weight in ounces Not published Cannot be converted without a weight
Grams of peach per pouch Not published The 68 percent is known; the base weight is not
Serving size Not published Holle gives none
Keeps after opening See your pouch Not published for this pouch; not borrowed from another
Nutrition per 100 g Not published Holle gives none
Fruit content 95% From the declaration
Grain content 5% From the declaration

The percentages are solid because they come from the declaration, and they are the figures worth having: 95 percent fruit, 5 percent oat, nothing else. What we cannot do is turn a percentage into grams without a pack weight, so those rows stay empty. The weight is printed on the pouch itself.

Several of Holle's other pouches are listed at 100 g by authorized retailers, and this one is not. We have deliberately not applied that figure here, because carrying a weight across from a different product is exactly the kind of assumption that puts a wrong number on a page.

Questions parents ask

Frequently asked questions

From what age can my baby have this pouch?

From 6 months, which is the age on this product and the same age Holle gives on its own page.

What exactly is in it?

Peach at 68 percent, apple at 17 percent, strawberry at 10 percent and gluten-free oat at 5 percent. That is the complete list, and the four percentages total exactly 100, so there is no added sugar, no starch, no juice concentrate and no added vitamin.

Is it gluten-free, given that it contains oat?

Holle labels the pouch gluten free and declares the oat itself as gluten-free oat. Oats do not contain the gluten proteins found in wheat, rye and barley, and a gluten-free oat is one handled to avoid wheat contamination. If coeliac disease is involved, rely on the declaration printed on your own pouch.

How big is the pouch?

We cannot tell you. No net weight is published for this pouch on Holle's own page or at any authorized retailer we can read. Several other Holle pouches are listed at 100 g, but we have not applied that figure to this one because it would be an assumption rather than a fact. The weight is printed on the pouch.

Is it Demeter certified?

The peach, apple and strawberry are all marked as coming from biodynamic agriculture, which is the Demeter standard, and that is 95 percent of the pouch. The oat is marked as organic. Holle labels the product biodynamic as well as organic.

Does it contain added sugar?

No. No sugar, syrup, sweetener or juice concentrate appears in the declaration. The sweetness is the peach's and the apple's own.

How long does it keep once opened?

Holle publishes no keeping time for this particular pouch on any source we can read, so follow the period printed on your own pouch. We have deliberately not borrowed the figure from another Holle pouch.

Can my baby drink it straight from the pouch?

Better not to. Holle prints no feeding note for this pouch specifically, but the standard advice for any fruit pouch is to squeeze it onto a spoon or into a bowl, because prolonged sucking at a nozzle exposes teeth to fruit sugar.

Is there a nutrition table, and why does the name list the fruits differently?

There is no nutrition panel for this pouch on any source we can read, so this page gives none. As for the order: the name gives peach, strawberry, apple and oat, while Holle's declaration orders them peach, apple, strawberry and oat, with apple at 17 percent ahead of strawberry at 10 percent. The declaration is the authority on proportions.

Written from Holle's own current product page for Pelican Peach, which is the source of the ingredient declaration of peach at 68 percent, apple at 17 percent, strawberry at 10 percent and gluten-free oat at 5 percent, the organic and Demeter footnotes marking the three fruits as biodynamic and the oat as organic, the 100 percent organic statement, the vegan, vegetarian, lactose-free, gluten-free and biodynamic labeling, the specific declaration of the oat as gluten-free oat, and the instruction to unscrew and dispose of the lid correctly before recycling. The age of 6 months is stated both on the product itself, where it is authoritative, and on Holle's page. The observations that the four percentages total exactly 100, that fruit is 95 percent of the pouch and grain 5 percent, and that the Demeter-marked ingredients are 95 percent of it, are arithmetic from the declaration and are labeled as such. NOT PUBLISHED and therefore absent from this page: the net weight of the pouch, the nutrition table, any serving size or daily portion, any feeding instruction, and the keeping time once opened. None of these appears on Holle's own page or at any authorized retailer we can read. The missing net weight is stated plainly in its own table row rather than glossed over, and because of it no ounce conversion and no per-pouch gram figures are given. Several other Holle pouches are listed at 100 g by authorized retailers and that figure has deliberately NOT been applied to this one. The serving steps on this page are labeled as general practice for any baby food pouch rather than as Holle's instructions for this product, and the opened keeping time was deliberately not borrowed from another Holle pouch that does publish one. A discrepancy between the product name's fruit order and the declaration's order is recorded on the page rather than resolved. Claims previously carried for this product are not reproduced: that it is gentle on tiny tummies, that it is packed with essential nutrients, and that it helps a baby grow happy and healthy. Last reviewed 24 October 2026.

Shake well before use. Squeeze onto a spoon or let your baby self-feed directly from the pouch under supervision. Serve at room temperature. Once opened, refrigerate and consume within 2 days. Always ensure your baby is seated and supervised while eating.
